Old Testament / Antiguo Testamento: Genesis 4:7
If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him. (KJV)
(RVR1960)
New Testament / Nuevo Testamento: Matthew 1:24 / Mateo 1:24
Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife: (KJV)
(RVR1960)
Reflection
God warns Cain that sin crouches at the door, yet He also says Cain can rule over it. Joseph wakes and simply does what God asked, with no delay. Today, when a choice is in front of you, do the next right thing quickly. Obedience in small moments keeps the door closed to sin.
Prayer: Lord, give me a listening heart and a quick yes to Your word. Keep me from what harms me and help me do good today. Amen.
